Keith Urban

Last week a friend of mine offered to take me to the Keith Urban concert at the Rose Garden. I graciously accepted thinking it would be a fun girls night out but really having no idea what I was getting myself into. All that I knew about Keith Urban was that he is married to Nicole Kidman and sings countryish music. I am not really a country music fan but I was still looking forward to the girls night out.

First we found a free parking spot close to the Rose Garden and walked to Red Robin for dinner. I had the urge to try something new which does not happen that often to me while eating out. So I ordered their teriyaki chicken and it was amazing. After dinner we still had some time before the concert started so we walked to Lloyd Center and window shopped. Neither of us bought a thing but had fun looking around for a while then walked back to the Rose Garden.

We arrived just as they were letting people in and headed upstairs to the "Club Level" suites. We walked around people watching for a bit then headed to our seats. Wreckers was the opening band. The music did not sound very good and I could barely understand what they were singing. Thankfully the intermission came soon and the stage was prepared for Keith Urban.

When the concert began it captured my full attention. Keith Urban is a very talented man. He is amazing with his guitar and the piano too. Not to mention his stunning voice. Keep in mind that country is not my music of choice, I still thought this was an awesome concert. There were people of all ages there even some younger children. I even recognized a few of his songs. I would like to listen to some more of his music and possibly buy a few of his cd's. Towards the end of the concert he took a few minutes to thank all of his fans, his family and especially his wife. Normally she would have been there with him but she is currently filming a movie in Australia. I would highly recommend people to see Keith Urban in concert since his is a true performer!
