Garage Sale

My neighbors and I had a garage sale today. Ryan and I wanted to clear out some of the clutter we have accumulated over the last few years. We sold more than I thought we would but still had a lot to take to Goodwill. I have not been a part of a garage sale in a long long time so I learned a few things. First people always come early, the first person at our sale came an hour early. I barely had anything set up but everything at least it had a price on it. I also noticed that most people want to haggle over the price. I did not expect people to haggle over a shirt that was only a dollar but they did. Almost everything that I had at the garage sale was marked $1 or $2 because I just wanted to get rid of it so I guess that it what surprised me over the price haggling. Overall it was a good experience and I would do it again when needed.

For over a month we gathered things we wanted to sell and put them in the baby's room. So, now the baby's room looks less like a disaster area and more like a baby's room. We already have two small dressers and a few things to put in them. We are having a hard time picking a color to paint the room since we won't know if Baby McLane will be a boy or a girl until the last minute. My head is full of many ideas of how to paint but I think we will end up waiting until Baby McLane is here.

If you ever get the whim to have a garage sale or just want to sell your accumulated items, I know that mom would help you out :)
