CF Test

Yesterday Landon went to see a nutritionist at Doernbeckers. Landon's surgeon referred us to make sure all of our questions were answered regarding feeding Landon baby food. She has a lot of experience with Hirschprungs disease and other tummy related issues. When the appointment was made we were asked to keep a log of what he ate for three days and bring food with us to feed him during the appointment. The doctor did not need any of that, she was more concerned about pooping issues. She had an x-ray done of Landon's tummy to rule out any obstructions and asked us a lot of questions. To sum up out appointment she put Landon on some nasty anti-biotics and asked us to call her with an update in 12 days. She also recommended some pro-biotics to use when he finished up his anti-biotics. The next morning she called and told us she strongly urges us to have Landon tested for cystic fibrosis again. It was all I could do to keep it together on the phone with her. Ryan had a really sad wife on the phone just seconds after the doctors call. I had not thought about CF for the last 7 months and it scares me to think Landon might have it. We have an appointment on Thursday morning to find out for sure but until then I am trying to keep my chin up.
