Whistler Weekend

Landon is now an International traveler. We went to Whistler, Canada for the past 5 days with the Carters. We drove there since we had so much stuff to bring with us for a weekend of bike riding down the mountain. We got up really early Wednesday morning with hopes the babies would sleep most of the way there and they did. It rained a good portion of they way there but by the time we arrived to the condo the sun was out. It did end up raining 2 of the 3 riding days but Ryan and Dave were still able to ride.

One day after Amanda had finished riding for the day we decided to walk down to the village to meet up with Ryan and Dave when Amanda and I were surprised to see a baby bear. The baby bear was cute in all but I knew mama bear was not far away so we walked faster. I was able to get a few pictures though.

Landon and Holland had a blast playing together and have become good friends. Most days they played so hard they were practically asking for naps.

We had a extra long drive home since it took us three long hours to get through customs. Dave and Amanda even had to go through an extra random security check. Landon did great in the car all day and even slept all night when we got home. Ryan had a fun time riding and it was a beautiful drive. We drove by a bunch of construction sites since Canada is getting ready for the 2010 Winter Olympics. There was already olympic gear in most of the stores in the village. It would be a dream come true to be able to go to the Olympics rather than watching on TV.
