Landon's room is currently a disaster area. Ryan and I have been trying to fix the creaking floors for the last two weekends. First we bought some special screws that you can use right through the carpet to secure the floor to the beams but those did not work. I think that they would have if it was the floor that was the problem. After we pulled up the carpet and sunk about 25 screws into the floor, Ryan figured out what the problem was. Good job honey!! Turns out that the wall between Landon's room and our office was not secured to the floor. So, we crammed a few wood shims under the wall and that did the trick. I am now able to sneak into Landon's room to check on him as he sleeps without waking him up!
After the floors were fix we were finally ready to paint Landon's room. Several weeks ago Ryan and I went shopping for blue paint. Neither of us could decide which color we liked so we each picked out a quart. Last night we each painted two large sample areas using both colors. We thought we had decided on the color I chose but knew a quart was not enough to paint the entire room. I thought it would be best to use the blue paint that we had already purchased as a primer so I mixed them together. As we painted more and more of the new mixed color, we both agreed we liked it better than the color we had previously decided on. I thought it was kind of neat how that worked out. We had enough paint for the first coat but need to have more paint made for the second coat. Thanks to modern day technology Home Depot can scan a sample of the paint and duplicate the color we really like easily. I will post pictures of his room once it is all completed. We hope to have it finished soon since all of his furniture is in our hallway and he is sleeping in our office in pack and play we borrowed from a friend. I am excited to have his room all finished! I hope Landon likes the blue color as much as we do.

It's fun to read your updates! I'm glad you guys are doing so well. I can't wait to put together our baby's nursery although since we are renting right now we won't be doing any painting.
I REALLY ENJOY READING ABOUT THE BABY AND YOUR PARENTING ADVENTURES. IT MUST BE SO MUCH FUN FOR ALL THREE OF YOU. I'M HAPPY FOR YOU. LOVE SANDRA
